Rather than relying on large teams to produce 3D models, characters, and storylines, AI can generate these elements instantaneously. Miyachi believes this shift could make the metaverse less of a speculative endeavor and more of a viable business model, while also improving AR by contextualizing the physical world.

However, Miyachi cautioned that the mere presence of AI is insufficient for widespread acceptance of the metaverse. A solid infrastructure and advanced hardware are paramount, and investors should concentrate on initiatives that deliver tangible benefits to users. “Investors need to grasp how AI-driven projects are establishing genuine differentiation and user utility. There are inherent risks regarding security and authenticity. As the distinction between human-created and AI-generated content becomes increasingly blurred, maintaining provenance and trust will be vital. We anticipate that standards such as cryptographic watermarking and verification will integrate into the metaverse’s technological framework,” he noted.

David Arnez, co-founder of Inflectiv.ai, pointed out that sectors like healthcare and education stand to gain significantly from the confluence of AI and metaverse technologies. In healthcare, AI-powered simulations necessitate private, verified, and contextual datasets, while educational applications depend on structured and accurate information to support adaptive learning environments. Arnez stated, “While industries showcasing stunning 3D visuals may capture the spotlight, it is the reliable data that propels these sectors forward.” The ongoing evolution of the metaverse is increasingly influenced by AI advancements, which enable the creation of adaptive and personalized virtual settings that promote collaboration and deeper insights.
